I recently read “Understanding Your Individual Learning Styles in Relation to Learning to Code that explained the various learning methods and how to find your dominant styles.

A person does not identify a single dominant style to use for every situation.  Rather, the learning style can change based on the material being studied.   In fact, to be successful, a person should look into as many learning styles as possible.

The article outlines seven widely recognized learning styles a person can fit into.  Identifying your dominant styles will help you choose the resources needed to be successful.

GET THAT DREAM JOB BY LOVING WHAT YOU DO

I am attending Francis Tuttle Vo-Tech to fulfill a goal of “Web Development.  A fast-paced 18-month course that is very enriching.  I love what I am learning regarding Web Development but I find myself concerned about future employment.  Many employment ads state requirements of Bachelor’s, Master’s or years of experience.

The Hot Topic of Net Neutrality

Our chat assignment this week was to read and provide pros and cons related to Chairman Pai’s proposal to dismantle Net Neutrality.  All this without becoming political:  pretty difficult to do.

First an understanding of what Net Neutrality is with the following Wikipedia entry:  “Net neutrality is the principle that Internet service providers must treat all data on the Internet the same, and not discriminate or charge differently by user, content, website, platform, application, type of attached equipment, or method of communication.  For instance, under these principles, internet service providers are unable to intentionally block, slow down or charge money for specific websites and online content.”
