Why Web Design and Development is Exciting

I began a Web Design and Development program and the excitement I feel every day since starting is that of a child at Christmas.   This is quite different from where I started before enrolling since choosing this program was the result of losing a decades-long job.  The prospect of starting over was both intimidating and depressing.

As I researched and soul searched, I always came back to Web Design and Development.  I had always dreamed of making this my career one day.  However, I was always comfortable in my job and chose the easy path of not following my heart.  Job loss ended up being a blessing:  giving me renewed energy through change and realization of a lifelong dream.   This acknowledgement has made me feel excited again.

My renewed energy comes from a love of learning new things and becoming proficient at my new skills.  I am excited to learn the magic behind the websites through the design and development skills I form.  I look forward to using these skills to help others and myself grow through fresh and exciting websites.  The possibilities are endless: working for small or large business, freelancing, non-profit, family, healthcare, and more.   Following is a video that explains some of what a web developer can do.

My realization of a lifelong dream comes from my love of and experience in both art and technology.  Starting the process to gain necessary skills to enter a profession where I can practice both is invigorating.   I am in complete agreement with test results that show my right and left-brain hemispheres have reached a level of perfect harmony.  Here are three  examples of my right brain capabilities:  hope you enjoy!

Life changes are thrilling  if you decide to make the most of them.    Learn as much as you can, change things up  occasionally, and make it exciting.  I’m so glad I did!
